Bahamas SCB

SCB stands for the Securities Commission of The Bahamas. It is the statutory agency responsible for the regulation of securities and capital markets in The Bahamas. Its mission is to protect investors, maintain fair, efficient and transparent capital markets, and promote investor confidence in the securities industry.

The SCB is responsible for ensuring that all participants in the securities industry, including securities dealers, investment advisers, and investment fund managers, comply with the laws and regulations that govern the industry. The SCB also reviews and approves applications for public offerings of securities and ensures that prospectuses and other disclosure documents provide adequate information to investors.

In addition to its regulatory functions, the SCB is also responsible for promoting the development of the securities industry in The Bahamas. This includes providing education and training to market participants, as well as working to attract foreign investors to the Bahamian securities market.
